Another taxi driver, Mr Tan Boon Kin, 57, was waiting near Mr Tay's vehicle at that time. THEY had gone to Suntec Singapore to watch boxers slug it out at a black-tie charity event known as White Collar Boxing. He and his friends, Robert James Springall, 25, and Robert Stephen Dahlberg, 34, had left the boxing event and made their way to a nearby taxi stand at Suntec City. They included Mr Paul Louis Liew Kai Ming, 27, and Mr Laurence Wong Seong, 39. Suddenly, Miller ran towards Mr Tan's taxi, climbed onto the bonnet and started to jump on it, to his friends' amusement. At around that time, a taxi driven by Mr Tay Gek Heng, 45, pulled up at the stand to pick up three passengers who had made a booking.
